So why would he be more likely to get playing time on offense with at least 3 other TE's in front of him? Can he play guard eventually?

His build makes him look like a tweener, already, so yeah - I think he plays some TE this year and guard in 2018. Seems natural for this offense - Canada wants a little more athleticism in exchange for a little less bulk.

That's why I see Roddy growing into an OT in this offense - he's 6'5", 270ish (maybe bigger) and very athletic at this size.
