Thanks. I've been to the prop stop, but never noticed a sand bar on the way there. Also are any of those places you mentioned on the water ok for young kids?

Tin Lizzys and Middendorfs are kid friendly restaurants for sure. The Fuel Dock may be kid friendly as well.
Boopalu's, Prop Stop, Sun Buns, Gator's Den are all adult places.
If you are leaving Tickfaw River headed out into the lake, the sandbar will be to your right towards the shore line. You won't really know it's there by just looking unless you see other boats anchored out identifying where it is. I may be able to mark up a satellite map to help
ETA, Riverratrob has it labeled on his map....
