thanks...yeah im not stuck on a hotel, i just know the gf would love to be able to look out the window and see the eiffel tower (as would I). I have seen a couple apts with a fantastic view on air bnb i may do for 2 or 3 nights

We stayed at the Hotel Madison in the St Germain Des Pres, which had a absolutely beautiful of the church across the street. I thought it was affordable (relatively speaking), and it was a lovely boutique hotel in one of my favorite areas of Paris.

We like the Hotel West End near the Champs Elysee. It's a nice, 4-star boutique that's a 5-minute walk from the most convenient metro line on the right bank (near the Franklin D. Roosevelt station on Line #1). For something in Saint Germain, we like the Hotel Pont Royal.
