Family and a job.
I stayed because of family, have no good reason to leave until I hit retirement age at my job in 10 years, and will be unlikely to move before my youngest finishes HS in about 13 years because of my wife's issues regarding uprooting a kid from a school right before graduation.

My wife has major issues with this because she moved around a lot as a kid and often had to change schools. Suggesting that we look around has been a non starter with her (she's not even from here) because of the kids school and my parents
