I had 3 guns stolen last night from my house. I have serial numbers for 2 but 1 I didn't. 35 whelen CVA from Academy probably bought in Sept of 2015. Do you think they still have a record of the sale with the serial number?

They have the paperwork, but I don't know if they will share it

If you go to the store you purchased it from with your ID, as long as the firearm is in your name, they can give you a printout of your information.

Broke in my house last night while I was out of town. I usually take my pistol with me but didn't this time of course.
Stole 9mm, Ruger .270, and Cva 35 Whelen.
Left my .22 on the sofa for some reason and didn't take my childhood .410 or black powder gun.
Typical Baton Rouge evening I guess. This city is horrible can't wait to be out of here.

They have to keep the form you filled out for 20 years and then e try in their bound book for the life of the company. They have it, it's just a matter of getting an employee who will look it up for you. A big box store should have an electronic system which would take seconds to pull up so long as your name isnt John Smith or something super generic.

Hate to hear that and hate a frickin thief. Glad you got your childhood .410. That's the most valuable gun in my collection

Will homeowners cover that?

I have serial numbers of all guns and TV they stole except one so hopefully homeowners will cover it.
I had repair my french doors they kicked in as well which took all afternoon. Home Depot and Lowes didn't have the beveled wood that is in between both doors so I had to mill it myself and sand it down with belt sander to fit. Took a few hours but got it all done and door hardware back installed but with a kick plate and 3" screws.
