You get the point, there are many players in the HOF with legal issues prior to induction that didn't preclude such and as I articulated earlier, character isn't a criterion for HOF induction, should be determined strictly based on what occurred between the white lines, on the football field i.e. on the merits.

And he shouldn't be.




Sam Mills is a good choice.

Breesus is the only gaurentee out there.

You mentioned Lawrence Taylor, though.

His issues were mostly substance abuse, and basically anyone who saw him play acknowledge he's the greatest OLB ever.

Those legal issues aren't the same as Sharper's, and neither Sharper nor TO are considered "greatest ever" at their positions.

Don't think Swilling gets in at this point, Rickey Jackson was the LT of the Dome Patrol, stats aside.
