Yeah, I wonder if this was an oversight.
I feel like the point was a mixture of showing the dragon blow up their supplies, kick arse, and importantly their gold (to add to the Iron Bank story line)
But Dany was very explicit in their needing food.
Maybe they'll come back and just have a cop out answer of she knew which wagons had grain and which ones had the gold or something.

I don't think she was intentionally burning food storages, but gold.
And I loved the look on Sansa's face after Arya had mentioned her list, and Sansa and Arya laughed about it, then Bran brought it up. I'm guessing Sansa was like "wtf, she wasn't joking?"
And Arya is a comfirmed badass after that sparing session with Brienne. She could've killed Bienne multiple times in that sparing match, and everyone knew it including Sansa, who didn't seem too pleased.
And it seems that Dant now trusts Jon more than even Tyrion after that episode. She took his advice after dogging Tyrion.
And the Field of Fire battle scene...
