quote:
quote:He is speaking to a woman who is nursing a newborn babe, telling her that the child's name should be Aegon and saying that "What better name for a king?". The woman asks him if he will make a song for the child, and he replies that he has a song and that "He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire.". He appears to look at Dany then, as if seeing her, and then he adds that "There must be one more," and "The dragon has three heads.".
Going back to the original of that passage in the books - that was back when GRRM was pretty much writing poetry in prose. Especially in the visions - this one and Ned's fever dreams and things like that. It's a fricken' pity he seems to have totally lost his way so badly.

GRRM stopped doing these as frequently, which is a shame.
But I did come across a good one in Dance that seems to foreshadow the battle in The Spoils of War.
Tyrion has this dream while traveling to find Dany in Meeren:
Two heads - one representing Lannister, the other Targaryen.
His father lead the enemy - how many times has Cercei been called her Father's daughter?
Jaime falls on the field of battle. And the second head was weeping.

quote:
That night Tyrion Lannister dreamed of a battle that turned the hills of Westeros as red as blood. He was in the midst of it, dealing death with an axe as big as he was, fighting side by side with Barristan the Bold and Bittersteel as dragons wheeled across the sky above them. In the dream he had two heads, both noseless. His father led the enemy, so he slew him once again. Then he killed his brother Jaime, hacking at his face until it was a red ruin, laughing every time he struck a blow. Only when the fight was finished did he realise that his second head was weeping.

I'm really hoping in the scene where Drogon and Dany land in front of Jon, Rhaegal lands in front of Jon in a protective action. Rhaegal named after Rhaegar would be the likely dragon of Rhaegar's son. There are what... 10 total episodes left? Enough of the conjecture, it's time to start spelling some shite out.
