Battery Switch Location - CC Boat

So I'm installing a second battery and battery switch this weekend and was looking for some ideas on a good location to mount the switch. Both batteries are located in the center console so I originally wanted to mount it inside on the wall above the right battery, but I'm not sure if I like having the screws going through the side of the console...
Looking for a good setup that's relatively easy to get to that also looks decent.

fiberglass a mounting board to the inside wall and then screw the switch to that.

Which switch you using? Lots of them have a provision where you could just have the screwheads on the outside of the console with some finish washers.

thru bolt it with the pan heads on the outside
you wont even notice they are there

As long as its the small one. Big one requires more a bit more creativity.

Use a counter sunk oval bolt with a finishing washer and lock nut on the inside..

Does your CC not have a thick fiberglass "pad" around the inside of the console to allow you to screw in accessories? see the pad behind my vhf. this goes all the way around my CC.
If not, 5200 some starboard to the inside wall and screw into that

Why did you mount the VHF inside you CC?

It's the round one. About 5-6" in diameter.
I think I'll end up doing what cgrand suggested. Just wanted to see if yall had any other ideas

It's not something I use a lot so i didnt want it on the console taking up space and have more holes. The few times I do use it I've heard it fine and the Mic stretches out

Got the switch mounted and it turned out nice. Now I have a question on the GPS/Radio wiring.
Should those wires be directly connected to the deep cycle battery or should they go through the switch somehow?
Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of having the switch if they were directly connected the battery?

why does the inside of your cc look some much cleaner than mine? no mater how hard i try mine always looks like a frat house living room after a keg party.

Absolutely connect GPS and radio to switch. I have found marine radios (for music) to be terrible on draining a battery just sitting there even when off.

My boat is 15 months old and stored inside...? I don't know. I never go inside it so nothing in there to mess it up. No keg parties

So did you just connect all accessory wires to the common on the back of the switch?

yes. you want them to work no matter what battery you have selected
