Socialism in the 21st Century: Venezuela

Brilliant minds in well functioning capitalist systems disagree on economic controls to maintain market stability. Not only do they often fail at predicting outcomes, they disagree and have trouble even analyzing events after the fact.

Which leads me to my point concerning socialism, which has failed humanity in such epic fashion. Relatively the less wealthy and less intelligent will always outnumber the wealthy and intelligent. Socialism's dangerous combination of economic ignorance coupled with a complete disregard of human instincts is the witch's brew of economic destruction.

This leads us to a situation like Venezuela, where a former bus driver reigns as dictator over a nation with the worlds largest oil reserves who now have no toilet paper and dig through the trash for food.

I will upvote this post on the condition we're using the Marxist definition of socialism and not "capitalism with a welfare state," please advise.
