You cannot garnish wages in Texas except for child support.
Texas is a very debtor oriented state. They could have a $500k home and the creditor cannot touch it (homestead).

I'd like to inquire how civil judgements are paid in Texas?
I can't take your income, without your consent? I can't liquidate a home?

It sounds like that photographer likely never gets the business back to what it was before nor will she see much, if any, of the $1mil.
But the couple likely never pays anywhere near the $1mil, so other than public shame, what did they really lose?
