I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. My wife wouldn't expect me to be at the hospital for that nor would any of my friends wives if in the same situation. Is this some weird southern tradition? Wife's brothers wife and you are expected to sit at the hospital? Are you the obgyn and you left that part out?

the "it's up to you" is what Has had me second guessing. Never once during this pregnancy did I think I would be at the hospital for the birth. Seeing as how this thread is almost 50/50 I see it was a relevant question.
