Possibly.
But the importance of this selection was monumental and was the bedrock of some of Trump's voter base.
The SCOTUS selection alone decides the fate our country takes for a long time and it fell to Trump to decide, and Gorsuch was a dream pick.

In other words, there was one good choice in the general election.
When I became an adult, I realized I'd likely never see my perfect candidate in any elected position.
