The MacBook is 12 inches and personally felt a bit undersize when I tried it out.
I recently bought a 13 in MacBook Pro and love it. It looks to be the size of an ipad when closed but doesn't feel small at all when working on it. The computer's length and width are actually smaller than my late 2008 model MacBook because they shrank the bezel.
