Granted there were some injury issues but the big problem was fitting him in to the defense and utilizing his talents. Just saying.

?

He only played one year here because he didn't fit well in our 4-3 scheme under Gibbs (so why did we draft him? Maybe special teams as he was a late round pick). Health wasn't really an issue (not saying he didn't get hurt, but he wasn't here long enough for it to be a pattern).

Miami had him two years and didn't know what to do with him either.

Hell his first year in NE he didn't do much of anything (one sack and 23 tackles). It took him until his 5th year before he really started doing anything. Can't blame anyone really when you have a 5th year bloomer.

And it's weird how starting his second year in NE his sack totals went on a "curve": 4, 6.5, 8, 8, 8, 6.5, and 4. And people speak about him like he was some huge presence that made an immediate impact in NE and we suck for letting him go when the truth is is took him 5 years to become a good role player (yes I know he technically was a starter but he rotated out a good bit) and now he's done after 7 good role player years.
