Tram isn't an additional cost. It's included with your admission price. But to ride the tram requires a timed ticket to board it. I would suggest selecting it online ahead of time to avoid the potentially long standby lines. But I don't believe you can get out to those facilities you want to see without riding the tram.

The trams are open so with really bad rain they might not run that particular day.
