I just did this for my son. I bought him an old 93 Jeep Wrangler and made him the primary driver of that, so we don't have to pay full coverage. My insurance went up $100 per month. Got discounts for good grades and drivers ed. My insurance is through USAA.

This makes me happy. I thought I was about to get arse raped in January with my 16 yr old son driving, and I have USAA.
