This just happened today for the first time, so I feel like i can nip it in the bud here.

I haven't figured this out yet. I don't say anything when she buys things I don't understand, but that means I didn't have to answer any questions when I brought home an expensive mountain bike today.

Just know this, buying things gives women a high, like cocaine. To shut it down, it would take some intervention level shite.

My husband spent more money on his last mountain bike than my engagement ring.

He hates when I say that but it's true. And it gets him off my back whenever I come home with bags from shopping. Although lately......I'm the one on a tighter budget cause I'm trying to pay off credit cards and student loans. I feel buyers remorse if I spend more than $50 now on things I don't really need

To be fair though.....he has had long discussions with me before any large purchases he has made. As long as he is still putting aside the amount of money a month we agreed on to save up for a house....I don't care about what he buys tbh.
