Insurance companies refuse treatment in the US after a certain point. This isn't an uncommon practice here either.

Except insurance companies don't have the power to prevent parents from seeking treatment elsewhere on their own dime.

Fact of life is that under any system possible, some people will die due to lack of funds or resources. The difference is that under a free market system, people can make choices for their healthcare, whereas under a socialist system, whatever the government says must go.

The insurance company refuses it. If the patient has the financial ability and a doctor signed on the insurance company cannot say no, he must die.
