Beyond creepy to me. This is very dangerous idea IMO. Outside of maybe government employees dealing with the CDC or maters of national security, this is beyond absurd.

RIVER FALLS, Wis. — A Wisconsin company will become the first U.S. company to provide employees implantable microchips.
According to a press release, Three Square Market will offer the technology to all employees during a “chip party” on August 1. The program is optional.
“Employees will be implanted with a RFID chip allowing them to make purchases in their break room micro market, open doors, login to computers, use the copy machine, etc.,” the company said in the press release.

Until they incentivize getting the chip so much that employees can't go without it.

So, you call in sick. They track your whereabouts to the ballpark.

Not surprised. Wisconsin and Minnesota people are shockingly stupid.

This is capitalism. If they can sustain their business with a mandatory chip implant, more power to them.
True. However, if the chips are used for ANYTHING other than what is made known to the employee it becomes extremely illegal and dangerous. If you believe this isn't the beginning of something designed to invade your privacy, then you're extremely naive.

So these dumbasses are going to let a company implant a chip in their bodies so that they don't have to carry a work ID card and a debit card?
