re: Why does New Orleans have more murders than similar cities?

New Orleans simply doesn't lock up murderers for more than 2 weeks. They don't have enough non-corrupt officers or public defenders to deal with all of the crime nor do they have withesses willing to come forward and testify. 95% of murders in the city go not only unsolved, but result in zero indictments or even arrests. Sickening police incompetence.
