I may be mistaken, but i dont think he was always ground and pound at oklahoma state. I think he got to LSU had better talent than everybody else and got ultra conservative. If he went somewhere with lesser talent, he'd open things up because he'd be getting beat so bad he'd have to.

Here's a thought: Beating Bama in 2011 regular season is the worst thing that could have happened to LSU. It made Saban reinvent his offense into a more modern style, and it made Miles never want to change his. Bama and LSU went in opposite directions after and because of that game.

True on the osu thing. He had some pretty good passing attack with a black qb who's name slips me.

And I agree with the 2011 assessment 100%. We lost the BSC national championship on that night in November.

Should have kept starting lee and using our play action. And let Jefferson run his 3-4 packages.
