I don't agree that it's more challenging. However, choosing to way exceed your means and then struggle to meet the unrealistic goals you expect is very challenging.

You're certainly injecting a lot into my example. Sure, a lot of people struggle because they're over-leveraged. But there are plenty of reasonably responsible people who still struggle. Or you simply have totally normal people who have to get by with less.

Normal, responsible people have to think about money. Ivanka doesn't. Normal, responsible people think about whether they can afford to have a wife stay home with the kids and live the lifestyle they want to live, or send the kids to the private school they want to send them to. That stuff happens even with people who plan well and make good incomes.

It doesn't happen to Ivanka.

The trade off in my scenario is more everyday life struggles for less work struggle (and the opposite for Ivanka). And my position is that knowing that your kids and family won't want for anything is a better advantage than having a lower-stress job.
