I thought last year we picked where we wanted to pick based on the previous year's finish?

I think you are right? Anyone else remember?

I actually like a random order better. This was the first fantasy league I've ever been in without a random order. I don't speak for everyone, though.

Yeah, we definitely did the "pick where we want to pick" thing.

I remember that. I just meant did we base it on last year's standings?

I think so. I'm fine with it being randomized if we can't figure it out, though.

Yes, we chose draft position based on previous year's standings. League winner got to choose his position first, then 2nd place guy, etc...

ps - like WSE said, I'm good with random also if that's easier.

I'm neutral on it as well. Either way I'm good.

Even though I finished second, I am starting to think it should be random and then you get to pick your spot based off the random results.

In a non-keeper league, we don't need to penalize or reward anyone for last year.

You could also just randomize the draft order, period.

Make it easier on yourself instead of having to ask 10 teams which draft spot they choose.

But again - I'm good whatever way you guys want to do it.

Yeah, I think a random draft order would be fun.

Yeah, let's just embrace the chaos of life and go for full random.

I've gotta start working on my spreadsheets.

frick it, we are going full random. You can start the draft as early as Thursday. I will create a new season long thread before then.

Tigerstark, email me your cell number.

All that hard work and I don't even get to pick my damn draft spot!

I actually prefer this as it removes one thing that I could possibly kick myself about later.

Are you using one of those randomizer websites?

Yeah, we are joining forces.

Here are the results:

UGHHHHHHHH. 9th is the worst. Too far down to get a top striker, and instead of two straight picks, somebody always trolls you and takes your next guy.

ETA: But that supplemental draft position though

ETA2: Time to complete my spreadsheets.

Col Reb picked ninth last year and finished third even without managing the final third of the season.

Wait drafted seventh and won it all. A late pick is certainly not a death sentence.

ETA: Updated the OP.
