Different. The story of SPR was more interesting. Visually, Dunkirk sets a new standard.
In SPR, think about the metal sound of the tank coming over the top of the rubble. Dunkirk has that intensity for the majority of the movie combined with a haunting score.

It is a very different movie. SPR was about a group of individuals and their experience/mission. This movie is about the event and you learn very little to nothing about the characters in it, and in my opinion that did not take anything away from the movie for me
