Y'all saying that it's better than bass or sacaulait are just trying too hard to be coonasses. That shite ain't good unless you put enough shite with it to not be able to taste it.

I put choupique right under sacalait and bass isnt even on the same level. Bream is much better than bass by a large margin. It isnt about being a coonass. Whoever cooked it for you, shouldnt be cooking it in the first place. I dont try to hide the taste of it. That would be like putting ketchup on a steak. I dont make boullets with them either. Fried choupique is right under sacalait. As for a courtbouillon, I'll take choupique over catfish anyday and I love some good catfish.

Next time you catch one clean it and fillet it. Lightly season the fillets. Lightly butter the inside of a fillet and cover it with onions, bell peppers and garlic. Now take the other fillet and cover that one. Sew the 2 fillets together with bakers twine and bake them or stick it a pot of courtbouillon to let simmer. Im telling you that shite is hard to beat.

Just imagine if you went through all that BS with something that actually tastes good, like a fresh bass.
