We need a law that addresses skyrocketing health care costs and not just diverting $$ around.
This, all day, everyday and twice on Sundays.
You like free markets? Ok. Hospitals now have to publish their rates for procedures, treatments, bed time, etc. Let consumers really make decisions about their care.
Also, take a look at the hospital to insurer relationship. Does the insurance industry collective bargaining ability place individual consumers at too great a disadvantage?
If insurers only pay pennies on the dollar, and most people have insurance now, meaning medical practices are usually only being paid pennies on the dollar, WTF are individuals being charged out the rear for the same procedures compared to one with insurance?
