Blind didn't intentionally leave the pitch so the goal could have been ruled offside. BT had like a 10 min talk about it.

Doesn't matter if he intentionally left or not.

quote:

A defending player who leaves the field of play without the referee’s permission shall be considered to be on the goal line or touchline for the purposes of offside until the next stoppage in play or until the defending team has played the ball towards the halfway line and it is outside their penalty area. If the player left the field of play deliberately, the player must be cautioned when the ball is next out of play.

Straight from the rulebook. Baw definitely didn't have permission to slide five feet off the pitch.

If he is off the pitch and is completely removed from play he under the refs interpretation not be considered the last man.

The worst part of it all the player who was off and deflected it in didn't even get credit for the goal.

The rule is in place to prevent players from deliberately leaving the pitch on propose to cause offside and in that case its a yellow card.
