I've lived abroad and in multiple states. Louisiana has the nicest people and LSU football. That's it. In virtually every other way it is vastly inferior in quality of life to numerous places. Go spend a week in Austin or Boulder or Barcelona or Dublin and report back on how depressed you now are.
