re: Everton 17-18. (Glad that's over)

It's split on all the Everton sites i've visited
I think he's a very, very smart player. I also think Davies bias is creeping into opinions. I think Klaasen setting up Rooney's run for the goal was more impactful than anything Davies did on Saturday, but Davies is a more passionate and energetic player, and more easily noticed (and often is legitimately impactful, just not on Saturday).
But yeah, his additions to the game are subtle so far, but I still think there is a good bit of promise there.

Davies is so versatile that he'll always find a spot on the pitch.

I like Davies a lot, I just think you're not going to get a fair take on Klaasen when he's viewed as bumping an academy player and favorite

Sad to see Barry go but at least this Sigurdsson drama is over

Evertards will be worried about another midfielder holding Tommy boi down, but i like that Ronald isn't scared to play him anywhere so he'll still be involved a lot.

I don't think Davies would be battling with him for playing time much anyway. He's playing behind Gana and Schneiderlin IMO. If we can stay in Europa and domestic cups then Davies will be given his fair share of minutes.
I do wonder with the Gylfi signing means for Ross though.

Hopefully it'll be announced tomorrow. But BBC and Sky are reporting it as a done deal.

Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Man Utd will be a tough stretch. How did we luck out with these fixtures?

Had you told me before the match that we'd get a point, I'd take it.
Had you told me at half that we'd get a point, I'd have been disappointed.
