Nashville and especially Portland would support.
Portland can actually have an NFL team - I believe that. It's a tremendous small sports city like S.F. and only one or two hundred thousand difference in population.
So if Portland can have an NFL team - they can certainly have a MLB team.

What. First of all metro population is what matters. Not city population. San Francisco has a metro population of 4.7 million.. 11th largest in the US.
