On a more somber note, rumors that Ozil and Sanchez are skipping club events and basically already mentally checked out

I would have been fine with selling Ozil in the summer. I know a lot on this board love him, but I don't think he is good enough to let go on a free in 2018. Maybe there wasn't enough of a market for him. I am fine with embracing Iwobi and Ramsey as his replacement at the 10.

As for Sanchez, I could be imagining things, but he seems even more selfish than normal this season. Yes, he has always been the guy that desperately wants to make things happen, but it seems to have been taken to another level this season. He doesn't want to be the guy that gets the "hockey assist". When the ball is at his feet, more often not, the final result will be an attempted assist, a shot, or a turnover. I could see him thinking the best plan of action is increasing his stats to earn the biggest possible contract in the summer.

Both guys will have value in January for CL teams, since they won't be cup tied.
