Unfortunately for O, his predecessor was fired for merely under-performing with elite talent. O does not have the typical rebuild scenario. He was handed the keys to a Porsche, so he has a very small window.

I expect him to win the west (and then the SEC by default). There, I said it. But if he falls short of that goal, I would only cut him slack if Bama was his only loss.

How did the hiring of O and a new OC change our QB? Or the LB position that is completely depleted and hadn't been recruited well for years?

The roster is not in near as good a shape as people think.

I think he will have an ok season this year, but next year.... wew nelly! gonna be rough! New QB, rb, and new people all over the place.

This team has glaring weaknesses. Starting at the most important position, QB. I think the guy should be given a couple of seasons to produce elite results. 9 wins as the floor is fine in my book but to expect LSU to win the SEC this year is not accepting the reality of the roster and the schedule.

2016 was the year to win it all and Miles had LSU out of contention in week 4. 2017 is a rebuilding year, whether you like it or not.
