Nothing fancy and as cheap as possible. This is going outside under a covered patio so i'm not expecting it to make it more than a few years. I usually go with Insignia but they stop at 55" which is what I currently have outside. Tring to spend less than $600.00. Cheapest I see is a LG at best buy for about $649.00 which is my current front runner. Willing to wait if there are deals to be had in the future.

Any big sales coming up prior to black Friday?

The LG probably won't last a few years. In the process of figuring out what I want to put in its place in my living room. The backlights have gone out 3 times now and I'm finished fixing the damn thing. Apparently it's a big issue with LG and Toshiba TV's. Good luck.

If it's going outside and you don't expect it to last, refurbished might be the way to go.

Just wait until Black Friday to grab one. I purchased a 60" from Walmart last year for $298 to go underneath my patio.

I just saw a cheap brand (can't remember) at Walmart for a 55" smart 4k TV with "Roku". It was around 340-360. Honestly don't know shite about TV's, but I'm sure it would handle what I do.

My TV I currently have is one of the first thin Samsung LED/3D TV. I've had it since 2010, but if I remember correctly this was a $4k tv back then.

Crazy how fast technology changes.
