Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Urban Meyer created that offense during his time at Bowling Green or maybe Utah.
And I think the wildcat offense used by Arkansas was basically a concept developed by a HS coach. It was successful for them with McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis. Other teams including some NFL teams copied the scheme too and were successful running it for a time. They actually ran some wildcat with Fournette during the 2015 season, but it's not really considered creative anymore as defenses have studied it and are better prepared to defend it.
