Walt has a really good record to run on. Yeah, politicians say anything. I know nothing of the gov of Louisiana so I wont speak on him.
But, Walt's record in Tuscaloosa is really good. He has to run as an independent here, but folks know he is a Dem. But, he has had support of the business community here & other groups not really known for supporting Dems.
I do know the state GOP with Bentley & Hubbard & Strange has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths here. Walt is the only Dem that can get the support to win. Will he? Don't know. Can he? He certainly can. It will be a huge deal when he announces...and he is not that far off from doing so.

If he's a type of democrat like the same Kip Holden who ran Baton Rouge for 12 years as a 60s JFK type with very few problems whatsoever and didn't have many and if any allegiances or interactions and associations with the national dem party, then that's a strong candidate right there.
But if he's a type like tax and spend liberal JBE who's only lying about being a moderate blue dog democrat to get enough republicans to get elected, then by all means he should be defeated and soundly so. Liars like him have been popping up all over the south and they need to be gone.

No he doesn't. All the Tuscaloosa he cares about is the University. Look at the roads, construction. Football traffic.
He benefitted from the tornado and football. Jeez, his idea of traffic control was to put up some stupid arse cameras and he cannot collect on that. 69 south is a freaking disaster. I could go on, but complete was of time as is culcha Walt!
