Yea that doesn't make any sense
Having 200+ HD channels is top of the line package for any provider. All movie channels and sports.

I have Directv Xtra package. 205+ channels with no movie channels.
I have one Directv account with 5 DVRs for my principle residence running about $120 a month. The DVRs will work anywhere in the US if you have a dish. Local channels will only work in the general area (about a 90 mile radius for my location) of the principle residence location. I use an antenna for locals for the DVR out of my area. The DVRs at my principle residence are connected to my internet. The ones away from my principle residence are not.
In theory you and 4 people could each have a DVR at their house and split the $120 per month cost 5 ways and have DTV for $24 a month each. I don't split or share the cost with anyone and all DVRs are located on family owned property. At any one time I may or may not have DTV in up to 4 locations.
