Well like I've said, I've worked in the business, I've seen all the inner and outer workings and behind-the-scenes stuff, and I will say with 100% certainty that it is not a work. But hey, I certainly respect your opinion.

1. I have a really hard time believing that someone with the experience of a Bret Hart would not see that coming a mile away
He did see it coming -- which is exactly why he wore a wire during his meeting with Vince.
2. and then on top of it let Shawn put him in his own submission finish where they could easily ring the bell on him.
It was a called spot -- Bret was supposed to break the hold, but it never made it that far.
3. Camera one zoomed right in on Bret after the finish rather than the new champ. Odd.
Shawn was in on the whole thing - he quickly left the ring with the belt, acting like he was upset. The cameraman was obviously confused as well, since this wasn't the scripted outcome.
4. Bret had reasonable creative control in his contract for the last 30 days. Why did he never sue?
He knew that with the WWE's attorneys, it would be tied up in the legal system for years and likely wasn't worth the hassle.
5. Why didn't Vince ever sue Bret for the punch?
Really? His ego was damaged enough as it was. He didn't want to acknowledge a guy who had now joined the enemy.
6. I saw Sean Waltman make the point that in the Bret documentary Vince sold the punch like hell and that Vince is the kind of guy that would never ever let you see any kind of injury or weakness and that he thought Vince was mugging for the camera.
Kinda hard not to sell a punch when you just got cold-cocked by a pro wrestler.
If it was a work, Bret certainly wouldn't have had sour grapes for so long -- he would have returned much sooner than he did.
I don't see how much more obvious it could be, but hey, like I said, you're free to believe whatever you want.

Michaels. Bret Hart is the most overrated wrestler I've ever seen.
