If you're the boss or owner of the company, then I'd pay. But if you're on the same employment level as those who participated, I wouldn't pay. If someone brings it up to you, just remind them that you didn't RSVP to the lunch, so they shouldn't have been counting you in the number of people they were feeding.

Also, you must work with nothing but women because I've never heard of co-workers throwing a baby shower.
