Sociobiological evolutionary theory has suggested that having an aunt or uncle who does not have offspring of their own increases the likelihood that they will help increase survival rates of their nieces and nephews. This would help increase the survival of some of their genetic material.

I remember reading a study that concluded the androgization of the fetus in the womb showed no effect of sexual orientation.

Of course, none of this disproves what you wrote nor is this my intention to do so. It's an interesting topic.
