Marathon is a unique area. I spent some time on the Gage ranch one fall. Elk, mule deer, whitetail, antelope, audad sheep, coyote, mountain lion, etc.. it felt very much like being in the Rockies. Until the border patrol flew overhead anyway.
Had a good meal at that hotel as well.
