In HS, my mother let me buy a tobacco pipe and the tobacco to go with it. I bought a meerschaum one, with the carved head of Bacchus on it. It was a big sonofabitch, probably four or five inches big.

I had one of my parties, and in the clean-up, I couldn't find my pipe. I eventually found the stem in the poolhouse, with no head. Some fricker just (I guess) thought it looked cool and decided to take it. I was heartbroken.
