Like it or not, this is completely inaccurate.
It is totally appropriate to commemorate the 10 commandments in front of the court house. That set of laws formed the basis for the way of life observed by the founders of this nation. It is perhaps the most appropriate thing imaginable to have in front of a court house.
Just because the founders granted 'religious freedom' to you doesn't not mean you have the right to erase all historical references that you don't like.
Now you'd have a case if courts began citing 'commandment #4' as their rationales for a decision rather than constitutional processes. But they don't. The memorial is a homage to historical advancement, nothing else.

and yet...
murder, stealing, and perjury are the only commandments that are also laws, and those are universal laws around the world regardless of a countries religion, theyre basic common sense.
the 10 commandments have nothing to do with our legal system.
