I'm sure refs would rather not make this call actually fearing backlash for possibly altering the game on a cheap foul. There is always bunch of grabbing on Hail Marys.
But obviously a DB obnoxiously tackling a WR takes the guessing game out it for the ref and he can throw the flag with no repercussions later.
