Seriously? If "G-men" have us scared to even discuss what we do legally to protect our families from violent crime we've got much bigger problems than gun ownership rights.

If anyone here isn't already aware, we are not required to register handguns in Louisiana if bought from individuals. I have no fear of buying retail, background check, etc., but I still prefer buying from private sellers. I love the individual freedoms we still have here and intend to use them. I was mainly curious about how many of you encourage all your family to educate themselves and how many get their kids, spouse, etc., in training classes. For me, proper handing, safety, etc., are my only reservations about handguns. It seems many today aren't taught as well as some of us were as kids.
