Wife and I both carry. G17 me and G19 her.
She carries when out the house.
I carry when I am awake.
Travel with SBR w/5 mags (30 rounds)
Both pistols and an SBR w/500 rounds reside in bedroom to make it to my safe room.
Enough in there to fight off a good resistance.
All 3 kids can shoot and load everything I own, exception being the youngest doesn't shoot the BMG.
Ammo count is north of 15K rounds.
Better safe than sorry.
