He says it's because white people, in general, are afraid of brown people. He also said none of Castilles/Sterling's transgressions amounted to a summary execution, even if they were present.

I corrected him on misidentifying the location of Alton's death, but punked out and didn't call him out on the possibility that Sterling went for his gun.

I never know how to engage minorities when they open up with stuff like this; is it my place to debate the intricacies of possible oppression? After all, I've never been black.
