I've got an opportunity to buy a 915D from a guy, the shaft is 70g Stiff. My current driver is 60g stiff. Will the 10g make that much of a difference?

You'll be able to feel a difference for sure. It may work better or worse for you, it will probably take a few range sessions and rounds to fully adjust either way. I wouldn't base your opinion off of your first impression.

It'll help with tempo if anything, I use 70 in the driver and 80 in the fairway wood, pretty sure my hybrid is 90.

It will make a difference, but if you have a higher swing speed, you will like it

I play a 70g Silver Kuro Kage in my 915 with a 14g weight in the sole. Best driver I've ever had. I was very inconsistent with the 60g Diamana Blue when I would load up the head weight on it. I've have come to like a heavy driver.

made a huge difference to me, i was using a 65g and picked up a 75g shaft. Lost all feel, felt like I was using a board or something, hated it.

I can't find the right side of a fairway with my current driver. (65g) middle/left with a draw. If I'm missing it, it's a pull hook

Heavier helps most non-weaklings. it will slow you down a bit initially but then you'll get use to it and more confident. You could also butt trim it. Bit and knock off a gram or two without changing swing weight.

You'll feel a difference for sure. You'll probably get more consistent with a slightly heavier shaft.

Same with me me. Play project x 6.5 driver shaft around 69 grams. 74g xstiff fubuki 3 wood. Heavier has really helped my tempo.

I like the heavier shaft. It helps me with tempo and shot dispersion. I am a lot more consistent with my 80 gram diamond ahina than the 65 gram that game with my driver.
