For real though, there are a few hotels (or motels) in Baker and in Zachary.
Some people when they travel to visit family, stay in hotels out of either preference or necessity because there isn't enough room.
I can't think of another really good reason.

Those actually do pretty good business in the spring and summer and to a lesser degree in the fall due to baseball and soccer tournaments
