they're laminated ... great club, regardless ... i'd actually think about rethreading those before hitting them ... there are guys that play old school equipment and get a big kick out of it, so you might want to make sure those will last a long time if you find out you can hit them ... amazing how small that head is compared today's clubs ... do the irons have pins in the hosels?

The insert is not laminate, prolly a synthetic ceramic which was popular back then..
if you look at the heel of the club face outside the insert, you can very clearly see the laminated layers of the wooden clubhead.
